The new ANSI A92 standard MEWPs (formerly known as Aerial Work Platforms) course is designed to cover the general knowledge for safe operation of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms including Aerial Boom Lifts, Scissor Lifts, and Bucket Trucks. All operators must be trained with OSHA/ANSI regulations and standards to operate Mobile Elevating Work Platforms properly and identify hazards in falls, electrocutions, and tip overs. This training program will cover safety and training requirements based on OSHA’s regulations 1910.67, 1926.453 and ANSI standard A92.
Students will have classroom hypothesis instruction, a student workbook, final written exam, and hands-on evaluation of the operator.
Curriculum covers OSHA Regulations and ANSI Standards, types and selection, safe operating practices, associated hazards, controls, capabilities, stability, personal & fall protection, maintenance, fueling, work zones, and manufacturer specific requirements.
Each attendee will receive a student workbook, certification and certification card, inspection checksheet, and safety manual.
